Hi, I’m Jessica Star!
I’m an illustrator (with way too many hobbies to count) based in NYC. When I’m not drawing or writing, you can usually find me curled up with a book, playing games, laughing with friends, or fussing over my fur baby. My biggest inspirations come from animals, nature, and of course, romance.
At heart, I’m a daydreamer and a storyteller. I love using my skills to turn little sparks of imagination into something real and meaningful. My motto is “creative, cozy, cute”, and that’s the feeling I want anyone who interacts with me and my work to experience.
But cute doesn’t mean shallow. I believe creating a safe space like this give us an opportunity to go deeper. I believe that art can hold space for the gritty, the tender, and uncomfortable topics of everyday life, while still offering comfort and allowing us to grow in empathy, inspiration, and imagination. That’s the balance I strive for in everything I create.
